All that work our manager’s put in back in August and September, attending food shows and filling out on-line ordering forms is about to pay off! Arriving on almost every warehouse truck we receive are shippers and display pieces featuring new items, seasonal items and items that feature tremendous deal pricing. Many will be displayed on cardboard display pieces around the store but many more will be integrated right into the aisles alongside their similar items.
As we wade into December perhaps one thing is on everyone’s mind. This is evidenced by the popular and repetitive query asked whenever two familiar people meet in the aisle, “Are you all ready for Christmas?” As innocuous as that question sounds, the level of stress it causes is epic! As soon as some well-meaning individual poses that question the following things immediately come to mind:
- My shopping list – is it completed or even begun?
- Are all my packages wrapped or is there even wrapping paper in the vicinity?
- Will all the packages I ordered on-line make it on time or even make it at all?
- What am I going to buy for ______________(fill in the blanks)
- When am I going to find the time to do my holiday baking?
These types of questions and others are what make December a whirlwind of stress and anxiety. While we can’t solve all your problems there are many of those listed above that Costa’s Supermarket can make disappear giving you a little reprieve from your holiday woes.
As far as holiday baking goes, our bakery makes a WIDE variety of homemade Christmas cookies and sweet goods of all types. When I say, “homemade”, I mean that they are mixed, baked and packaged right here in our facility by our team of holiday elves!
Our produce department contains experts who are adept at creating the fruit basket that is exactly what you’re looking for. Candies, nuts, smoked meats – even canned vegetables have found their way into our “fruit” baskets. They make perfect gifts for that hard-to-buy-for individual and they also can’t be beat as an impressive and functional centerpiece for your holiday table.
Our deli department offers a huge selection of holiday platters in multiple sizes. These are excellent to help feed a hungry party crowd or to take along with you when you’re invited to someone’s home for a holiday bash. There’s absolutely no reason why you should have to work all day, rush home and try to whip up something to take along with you to a Christmas party. And my last final reminder is of our gift certificates. We can literally make them out for any amount you care to spend. The good news is that everyone has to eat. Giving them the option of picking out what they like rather than accepting what someone thinks they might like makes perfect sense.
