Dear Customers,
Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day!!! February 14th is a day when men all over the world suddenly realize they’ve forgotten something important and scramble madly spending enough money to sufficiently illustrate their love. Do Not Despair! We’ll have bouquets of roses and assorted flowers that should get you off the hook for another year.
That should be all the advance notice you’ll need. You’ve been through this before. Personally, I usually grab a greeting card and a bouquet of flowers – even though in 30 years of marriage, I’ve yet to receive any king of reciprocal acknowledgement from my significant other. Seems a little one-sided, don’t you think?
If you would prefer to do something along the lines of food, such as a nice meal out for instance, your choices have become severely limited since Covid 19. I don’t have the figures at my fingertips for all the “eateries” that simply closed up during the pandemic – or as a result of it, but even in a small town such as hours, the loss of options for dining out has been brutally curtailed.
That leaves a nice, home-cooked meal to show your loved one that they are truly loved and certainly not overlooked or forgotten. A fine cut of beefsteak or even a thick cut pork loin chop lend themselves well to a memorable dinner. And, if by some chance you don’t find exactly what you want in our meat case, you have only to ask and our talented and accommodating staff will get it for you.
Once you’ve settled on the main course, you’re going to want to pick up some fresh vegetables for a salad or side dishes. And what Valentine’s Day dinner would be complete with a delicious, homemade creation from our bakery? Nothing like a little chocolate, icing, sprinkles and cream filling to say, “I love you!”
