I dream almost every night and at my age, that’s to be expected. What I don’t enjoy is a good nightmare! My worst ones seem to follow one of two themes; either I’m being chased by something unseen or I’m late for something I can ill afford to miss!
What a relief when I finally wake up, even if there was no resolution during sleep, to find that I get another “do-over”! That’s kind of the same feeling you get during the month of December when you’re faced with too few hours in the day or even too few days – and a whole lot of holiday preparation to accomplish!
The demands on your time have multiplied this time of year and they only seem to increase during December. Christmas is only one day just like the 4th of July is only one day. The difference is that what with decorating, gift buying & wrapping, baking, cooking and attending a myriad of school activities involving your kids you find yourself living your own personal nightmare for the entire month!
Fortunately, you have Costa’s Supermarket to “wake you up” to an existence with much less stress and anxiety. Our fresh produce supplies, in addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful plants and fruit baskets for any occasion. Our meat department is second to none and can even whip you up some delicious beef on Weck to satisfy your party guests. Then there’s our deli-bakery (814-887-9371 is the hotline). I know tons of people, who when faced with baking dozens of cookies not just for the family, but for social events, school parties and get-togethers, call our bakers and place an order.
Our cookies are homemade from scratch – and not just during the holidays, but 52 weeks a year. Our bakery manager, Tonya, loves to try new recipes, new desserts and when I show her an interesting product in a catalog, she always has one answer. “I can make that!” She takes it as a personal challenge, and you are the beneficiaries of her talents!
